Морской конёк - это небольшая морская рыба. На планете существует около пятидесяти видов морских коньков. Необычная форма тела конька напоминает шахматную фигурку коня. Размеры морских коньков составляют от двух до тридцати сантиметров. Особенность морских коньков заключается в том, что у них яйца вынашивает самец. Морские коньки живут в тропических и субтропических морях. Они ведут малоподвижный образ жизни, прикрепляясь гибкими хвостами к стеблям растений и меняя окраску тела. Так они защищаются от хищников.

The sizes of sea horses are from two to thirty centimeters. Feature of the sea horses is that male carries the eggs. Sea horses live in the tropical and subtropical seas. They lead an inactive life, being attached by their flexible tails to stalks of plants and changing coloring of their body. In this way they are protected from predators.
